Interesting that you took the effort to research the old old films. I imagine they are easily overlooked/ not appreciated by most people and I must admit I would never get around to watching anything made before 1960.
I've made a resolution to get through as much Kubrick, Chaplin and Kurosawa during this summer.
Getting there with Kubrick, because he hasn't made as many as most Directors, and I'd seen a few already (2001, Clockwork, Dr Strangelove etc.). Really enjoying the old stuff, would highly recommend it!
